There’s no shortage of things to do in L.A., with countless activities and sights for any taste. Check out this wide-ranging list of fun things to do in Los Angeles!

See the Hollywood Sign and go hiking in Griffith Park

Arguably the most famous landmark in L.A., the Hollywood sign looms over the city in Griffith Park. Head to the park to get a closer look at the iconic sign. You’ll have to hike through Griffith Park to get to it, plus there are tons of other walking and horseback trails throughout the park.

Visit Huntington Library and its Botanical Gardens

For bookworms and nature-lovers! The research library contains manuscripts dating back to the year 1000 and puts many of its items on a rotating exhibition. Once you’ve had enough of the books, go outside to see the gardens. An immense collection of flora and fauna, the botanical gardens include a Japanese garden, a Chinese garden, a desert garden, and many more!

Walk along the Venice Beach Boardwalk

Also an enduring symbol of L.A., Venice is an eclectic area of the city. The boardwalk spans 2.5 miles and you’ll see historical buildings next to international restaurants and cannabis shops. Don’t forget to check out the famous skating park and Muscle Beach. You’ll feel the bohemian nature really come alive by watching street performers and seeing colorful murals.

Tour Warner Bros. Studio

A must for any TV or movie buff! Upon visiting the studio in Burbank you’ll see recognizable sets and learn all about the craft of filmmaking. You’ll also get a peek at some famous costumes and props – like from the Harry Potter and DC universes. The tour usually lasts two to three hours, and tickets can be booked from the Warner Bros. Studio Tour website.

Hollywood Walk of Fame, see Grauman’s Chinese Theatre

If you visit the Walk of Fame, there will likely be scores of people. As another classic symbol of L.A. and the film and entertainment industries, it might be worth fighting the crowds, though. The walk has more than 2600 stars, covering 15 blocks on Hollywood Boulevard and another 3 on Vine Street. As you make your way down the Walk of Fame searching for your favorite celebrities, don’t forget to stop and take a peek at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The theatre has a long history, having hosted premiers and stars who wanted to leave their mark on the place.
